Tiesto @ The Docks

On Sunday May 21st I went to a Tiesto concert here in Toronto at the Docks. I went in there not really expecting too much because his ISOS5 CD wasnt that great imo. But... after the demonstration that that man put on sunday nite, I remembered y and how he got me into trance. This was by far, hands down.. the best night of my life.

Anyways, without furter adue, here are a few video's from the night, enjoy:

ya thats kinda what i was talking about, how ppl were starting to hate on him. I was too, his mixing was getting sloppy, trainwrecking and everything. But that night he totally redeemed himself, shut up all the haters out there. It was an epic night indeed

Tiesto is just not what he used to be. He's gone mainstream imo long before he got the chance to DJ for the Olpympics in Athens. I mean it was a great thing and huge honor that the Olympic committee allowed a world known DJ to play at the ceremonies, but quite frankly I think once he had the grasp of the world that's when he started to sell out to his most loyal fans and started to please the average trance music listener.

I honestly find that his tracks on his latest cds are a hit and a miss. Some were really good, others not. I mean parade of athletes, sure it was a different style, but it just really wasn't his best.

I have to agree though that ISOS5 was quite a shock to me. I was not to impressed with it. Even with ISOS 4, I loved one CD (minus some of the lousy transitions and mixing), but it took me a long time to actually start liking it. I honestly think he started to lose his touch after the Magik Series.

It's quite a shame to see such a great talent slowly come to a close.

Oh yeah bro, he did. But his concerts (Tiesto In Concert), were unbelievable. I don't know about you guys but I loved only some songs in ISOS 5: LA - like Jonas Steur - Second Turn (which I played on my show a few episode's back, remember?). But anyway, Tiesto has been losing his touch lately, I agree with you man.

This is kinda what I was talking about. I WAS in the same boat as you two thinging he was dying out and losing his fan base. But when I saw him that nite, it was incredible. Mind u there were some questionable transistions, but the track selection was perfect.

Ive seen a lot of DJ's this year, Armin, Above & Beyond, Rank1.. just to name a few. Tiesto was by far the best nite out of all of them. hands down, well maybe A&B was a close second. But he showed everyone in the building, why he was number 1 for two years. I wouldnt be surprised if we see him as number 1 again

I forgot to mention that his concerts TIC 1 and 2, and others were great. I don't know why he's changed and become so disapointing with his latest cds. It's a real shame if you ask me.

I think Rank 1 and Above & Beyond are the best DJs in the world, when it comes to live sets. Rank 1 are unbelievable with their remixes, Tech, Uplifting, Melodic, AND the selection of tracks they play - Above & Beyond are powerful with Melodic and Uplifting.

Overall, I love them all.
