[c]To thank you all for the amazingly positive feedback from everyone about our up coming launch party, we’ve decided that just letting in a few clubbers for free just wasn’t enough, so we decided to go one step further and really give something back to the scene by doing our very own
Rebellion DJ competition, but with a twist.
Fitting in with our general take on things (which involves sticking two fingers up at the way everyone else seems to do things) means that we definitely don’t want to run a DJ competition that’s really a glorified popularity contest by getting all your mates to click vote for you. We’d rather do it properly, by actually listening to all of the entries and judging them on mixing skill and track selection, the way it should be done. In fact, we don’t even want to know who you are, what your name is or where you’re from... At least until we call you to say that you’ve won.
Sound like you’re average DJ competition yet? Didn’t think so…
HOW TO ENTER:
It’s simple, make your way to the Rebellion Launch party @ Club life on Friday 28th May. Bring your mix with just your phone number written on the CD and put it into the “Mix Box”. Yes, it really is that simple!
RULES:
1. The styles that we are looking for are – Trance, Tech Dance, Tech Trance, Hard Trance, Hard House, Hardstyle, NuStyle, Hardcore, Freeform, Gabba.
2. Entries with any additional info on will not be listened to so as to eliminate any possible bias.
3. The mix must be longer than 45 minutes.
4. No Ableton DJs please!
5. Judges will be Dean Zone, Chris Toxic and Shift-E.
6. The judges decision is final!
7. The winner will win a paid set at a future Rebellion event.
