Universal Carnvial
Mid-Atlantic Digital will make your imagination soar to an island far away; the beautiful Balearic island of Ibiza. They can take you there without the need for a passport or an expensive plane ticket. Instead they are bringing the vibes of Carnival right to you in New York at the award-winning club Cielo on Little West 12th St in the meatpacking district of the city.
This is the first Carnival style even to ever be hosted at Club Cielo, and the first of it's kind in relation to the electronic music scene in New York. This is the premier of an event that will only get bigger and bigger each year. The event will feature a European festival feel that those who have never traveled abroad will now get to experience right in their home town.
The festivities include live performers, professional dancers, contortionists, with top-notch lighting and ambiance. House DJ/Producer Maurizio Colella of Switzerland, otherwise known as EDX, will mix the music for the evening. The atmosphere will be further enhanced by favors which will be passed out to the crowd that include items like whistles, glow sticks, and of course beads.
The dress code has been suspended for the evening. You are free to attend the event in whatever you like whether it be in pajamas, leather, costumes, as long as it is in accordance with law.
EDX
EDX is without a doubt one of the biggest shooting stars of the worldwide house scene of 2008. Within only a very short period of time he became a worldwide acclaimed remixer, well-known for his brilliant work for as likes as Dubfire (Deep Dish), Deadmau5, Armand van Helden, Steve Angello, Sucker DJs, Michael Procter, Kool & The Gang, Lauryn Hill and Armin van Buuren, to name but a few.
And EDX is still climbing up the ladder of success: EDX has just finished a great remix for Axwell & Bob Sinclar’s single “What A Wonderful World”. The track is off to a soaring start. Having already gained DJ support from David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso, Kenny Dope and Michael Gray, to only name a few. The track has swiftly made it onto the Radio One playlists of Pete Tong, Zane Lowe, Dave Pearce and Jo Whiley. “What A Wonderful World” looks to set for chart domination upon its release at the end of September.
To top off a busy schedule, EDX remixed also Kaskade’s track “Angel On My Shoulder” which will be out on Ultra Records USA soon.
But EDX does not only work in his studio in Zurich, Switzerland all the time. He also tours around the world and plays dj gigs at the best clubs and events – the next highlights are Creamfields in Peru and a party for Hed Kandi. Do not miss this, if you are around!
