Afterhours, has been on a steady rise as far as listeners, community, Exclusive Dj and providing up to date best shows in the scene, most of all exclusive. It is time to announce the concept of worlds biggest online trance event: End of Year Countdown 2011!

From myself Dan & rest of AH staff, we would like to thank all of you (this amazing community) for showing us your ongoing support. We really appreciate the support, all the reported spam to us, promoting us via your facebook/twitter/other social media sites. It's team work, we all play a part in Afterhours!! so we thank you again!

We will post the line up as soon as all art work is ready.

Ermm.. there are ppl without twitter you kno, how do they vote? ;]

Plus many ppl are not gonna vote cause of the spam thats gonna be in twitter..

and third thing - imagine the spam the djs will get for that by mentioning them in every single post..

There are thousands of options of making the vote a bit more realistic - like the tranceaddict poll.. u just put the name on it and thats it .. then u get the final results... there are so many websites which do that.. imagine the amount of ppl who are gonna be stopped from voting

This is not a vote where you choose a dj from a list, this is a "suggestion" by users what djs they would like to see in EOYC2011... to get the community involved & at the same time have some fun...

Let's not look at millions of ways to make things better, but lets appreciate and enjoy the EOYC feeling.

i am not saying to do it in a list but a field where u can put the name of the DJ

I do appreciate and enjoy the EYOC feeling, always taking part of it, but just its a it unfair to some who wont/cant vote in this way

You will never fulfill everyone's needs to be voting by some way.

Well, I wish ah.fm all the best and success for EOYC, and I'll gladly be listening, but Vilence is right.
What you're doing is basically trading the possibility for everyone to vote via a simple web form for Twitter advertisement, cause every tweet gets voters' followers to see the EOYC message.
I never had a Twitter account (let alone needing it) and the trend of communicating with companies through a third party messaging business (Facebook, Twitter) is a really perverted aspect of todays state of the internet.

I’m gonna be so short in my answer cause I’m uber busy these days and the little extra free time I get everyday it’s to work on the EOYC ideas and artwork.

I already answered vilence on twitter, but for future posts.

Twitter is an online and FREE tool = if u don’t have an account, u get one. If u don’t wanna spam all your followers for some contests or such a things, u can get one more..It’s still free.

'You Choose the DJs' is an optional voting thing. We don’t force anyone to vote. You don’t need to vote to listen to the event.

AH.FM wants to give its community the chance to suggest their favourite djs by using an online and free tool.

So please, don’t turn this into a bad thing. AH is giving you, AH is not stopping you from anything, and as long as it’s your choice to have an account on twitter and to send a tweet/submission, it’s you the only one who can stop yourselves from do it.

Whoever don’t wanna vote or take part in it probably has their own reasons, and we respect them, put please don’t put that responsibility/blame on us. I think it’s not fair.

We planned the whole campaign according to our needs and expectations, and all of you can be so sure that we are so happy with the result.
Still, its success it's obviously in your hands.

Hope you won’t take my words in some wrong way, but I needed to be clear.

Personally I’m so glad to see so many people tweeting today (and loving it!!), and see how things are going as planned and getting some interest from djs and new listeners. I wanna know if there are some new hot djs out there, i wanna know what our listeners want; I’m sure we can improve our work with so little info from you.

So let the fun begin
