Yeah - I don't think there are many here at AH that watch a ton of TV. I know I don't watch it much, except for the Olympics and a few Hawkeye football games. Other than that, I use the internet to get what I need. (ie: News)

yea y watch tv when u have AH...yea i do watch some american football and baseball of course...

In all honesty, the DTV conversion day I think will be a total hell. Not because people aren't prepared, but the people that are much farther away form the transmitter of the station will not be able to get a signal. I've tested this theory here and there. While I still can get analog clear as can be about 60 to 70 miles out of the transmitter base. The digital signal around the same legnth is no where to be found - Just "Cannot find signal". So for the people out on the country side, they'll be screwed.

You might be right... we have 1 channel that several times a day people complain about going to no signal. One good thing with digital streams though, is that there is a rebuild batch sent with the data packet that is intended to fix interference issues. So shouldn't really, if that works, no one should have "fuzzy" channels anymore.

I have a TV, but aside from plugging in the old Genesis or Dreamcast, I don't think I've turned it on once in the past 2 years. So frankly, I couldn't care less.

After seeing so many specials on the news on how to install and operate the converter box (the most recent being last night), I'm still convinced there are gonna be a handful of people out there who aren't gonna know what to do. And since so many depend on TV to hold their sanity, expect to see small riots breakout after the switch date lol
