Yeah.....We were poor at CSUH. Couldn't afford the big bucks it cost for a slice of the airwaves so we had to resort to Internet radio. I think I had like two loyal listeners. Don't know if they still have it or not. KSUH baby! haha

itunes makes it a lot easier.

This Saturday........1015 Folsom brotha! Every Saturday at 1015 brotha! haha

925!

Kirk, man, I graduate from CSUH (EB) next quarter ;)

Any trance parties I should know about tomorrow night? IMHO:

(Halloween) + (Full Moon) + (Friday Night) - (Midterms) = (Epic Trance Party Weekend)

Events In SF/Bay Area

Here are the most interesting of the prospects I've found:

1) Phantasmagoria 8 @ The Dancehouse
$25 at the door, 10-dawn

2) Halloween Massive @ The Cow Palace
$25 prepaid, 8-dawn (door tickets?)

3) Go Nuts 2 @ The CellSpace
The listings have been removed, which has sparked my interest!

Cow Palace can hold a hell of a lot more people than Dancehouse (aka Gingerbread House), which could be fun, but I like to stay mobile on Friday nights, which makes at-the-door tickets appealing.

Anyone hitting any of these or have other prospects? Incidentally, anyone ride? I'd love to gang into the city with anyone that can keep up

Friday's almost here!

Phantasmagoria 8 @ Dancehouse

Good times! Dancehouse was a much smaller venue than I expected, but was pretty much full (no more than 150 people I'd say). My thoughts on the evening for those interested:
  • The main dance floor always had a a good DJ mixin' it up - mostly progressive trance (w00t!).
  • The crowd, although small, was very energetic... and well costumed.
  • The decor was sweet - with neon-spray-painted tapestries throughout the rooms that lit up with the black lights. Very cool effect! Most of the tapestries were Indian themed (think Hindu Gods and Kama Sutra panels), but there were some neat traditional fantasy paintings as well (fairies and the like). All in all a nice ambience.
  • The upper floor was less crowded, which I attribute to that DJ's prowess with the tables. While I was up there (albeit briefly), he was hunched over his instrument panels struggling to mix via cellphone light.
  • The ventilation was non-existent. Two standing fans were set up on the main floor... but with no ducting these fans merely blew hot air around the room.
Seeing as how I hadn't been to a rave since Lovefest and the main afterparty (8+ hours of dancing to the best DJs with thousands of people), I was rather surprised how well this little place held up!

Post up if you were there! Oh, and here's a tapestry of Shiva, illuminated by black light (sorry, cellphone pic):

After much deliberation, I have decided upon a venue for my New Years Eve craziness! Anyone who thinks they'd like to join my crew should message me, I'd be happy to meet ah.fm enthusiasts!

Resolution 09
Hope to see you there!
